Updating An Icon | BMW x Krautmotors Bauhaus 100 F 850 GS Motorcycle

Let’s go back a century and learn about the Staatliches Bauhaus. This iconic art school operated from 1919 to 1933 before closing due to pressure from the Nazi regime. Bauhaus went on to flourish despite its closure, going on to become one of the most influential art schools of the 20th century, even spawning a movement of the same name. The school and movement influenced generations of artists and designers, which continues into our modern times.

BMW is celebrating 100 years of Bauhaus, doing so with a special collaboration with Krautmotors. The two have collaborated on a modern revamping of BMW’s classic 1969 /5 motorcycle. The BMW x Krautmotors Bauhaus 100 F 850 GS Motorcycle is nothing short of incredible. The bike is outfitted with the same slim engine found in the BMW F 850 GS adventure bike while the frame was designed by Krautmotors, pulling influence from Bauhaus principles. The bike has a modern-retro aesthetic that is intriguing and absolutely eye-catching.

Despite its deconstructed look, the bike is fully rideable, and though it’s not intended for daily use, it will make its debut at the StarrWars straight-line race across the pond. Learn more about this special collaboration from BMW and head over to Krautmotors to check out more of their impressive creations.
