It’s been a minute, but Usher is back. The singer/songwriter has been rather quiet since dropping off his project, ‘A,’ a few years ago. Today that all changes as Usher returns with a brand new single. This time around, he gets back to his true R&B roots, putting together something heartfelt and contagious. The new single is called “I Cry,” a slick new single that arrives after reuniting with Lil Jon and Ludacris on “SexBeat” and joining Tyga in “California.”
The track is driven by some smooth melodies and these clean drum sections. The backdrop provides the crooner with a flawless home to do his thing. He reciprocates nicely, putting together a solid showcase of his range and vocal prowess yet again. The track is another taste of what is in store from the artist, who is currently working on a follow-up to Confessions. Never one to disappoint, Usher provides with a nice new listening experience and cooks up something infectious in the process.
