The one and only, Wale, makes his return. The wordsmith is currently working on his Folarin 2 album, unleashing the single “Angles” not too long ago. The MC has been quite busy and continues to gear us up for some new music in the future. This time around, the DMV representative makes his return with “Why Would I Stop.” The track finds Wale serving up a solid showcase of his lyrical talents, linking up with the legendary DJ Premier in the process.
The single will be found on the soundtrack for the Apple TV+ series Watch The Sound With Mark Ronson. The show itself will focus on various aspects of music technology, taking a look at how artists have been influenced by it and have helped develop it. The show made its debut this past Friday.
As for the single, Wale puts together something inspiring and infectious, again showing off his lyrical prowess behind the mic. The track is pushed by a contagious set of snappy drum sections paired with some smooth melodic elements put together by DJ Premier. The track is certainly one worth adding to your listening rotation.
