Ocala, are you ready for a culinary competition like none other? Well, mark your calendars; Wiener Wars takes place on 4/20 at the Ocala Downtown Market. Wiener Wars 2022 is a culinary competition that will find downtown Ocala restaurants going head to head to find out who has the best wiener in town. The competitors will concoct their most impressive hot dogs, judged on cooking technique, creativity, presentation, and taste. The cooking method, toppings, condiments, presentation, and bun, or lack thereof, is entirely up to the participating teams.

Guests will be presented with a passport and will have the opportunity to sample each team’s wiener and side. They will then cast their selection for the People’s Choice Champion. Each team will also present a complete wiener and side offering to our celebrity judging panel. The judges will use their expertise to determine the Judge’s Choice Champion. In addition to the wonderful wieners, beer and wine will be available in exchange for tickets purchased at the event. Tri-Eagle Sales will be on hand with samples of some of their fine products, while The Bitters and Glizzy Gillespie will provide live music. Proceeds from Wiener Wars 2022 will benefit Ocala Outreach Foundation, Inc. and Marion County Literacy Council. Come out and give back to some great local organizations. Don’t miss out!
