Memphis’ very own Yo Gotti is back. After letting the ink dry on his new collection with Collective Music Group and Interscope Records, the wordsmith returns with a brand new single. This time around, he serves up a contagious new effort entitled “Drop.” The track finds Yo Gotti pairing up with fellow southern MC, DaBaby, both bringing their talented abilities to the mic.
“Drop” is pushed by this incredible combination of punchy, street-shaking drum work and these bouncing percussive sections that make a nice backdrop from the duo to do their thing. The rhythm section is paired with this sparse melodic element that plays flawlessly with the crashing percussion.
Gotti and DaBaby bring their A-game and effortlessly showcase their respective talents along the way. We hope this is just the beginning of something new in the works from the MC. It’s been a minute. While there is no word on where the track might end up, we’ll keep you in the know for Yo Gotti’s future music plans.
