If you haven’t yet gotten familiar with the sounds and talents of 11:11, consider today you’re lucky day (get it. 11:11. luck. nevermind). The singer, songwriter, and music producer invaded the interwebs this past Friday with, what might be, the smoothest track we’ve heard in 2020. The track is called “Treat,” and 11:11 serves up a dose of his slick wordplay, his smooth vocals, and a sultry style.
First, let’s get a little more familiar with the man himself. 11:11 hails from Toronto, which is where his melodic voice and signature R&B/Trap style was born. He’s easily recognizable vocals weren’t always what he was known for, though. His career started as he produced instrumentals in the modest studio at the Lawrence Heights Community Centre in “Jungle,” the iconic neighborhood in the west end of Toronto. His style has progressed, and he’s ready to make some waves.
This new single, “Treat,” is sure to catch your attention. The track is pushed by these incredibly smooth guitar melodies, which are paired with some sparse, yet fitting drum sections. The combination comes together to provide the singer with an exceptional home to do his thing. He takes to the track and shows off his smooth vocal abilities, while also showing off his talents behind the pen.
This man delivers something special and effortlessly hits us with his cool, unwavering style. If you haven’t gotten familiar with 11:11, now would be a great time to do so.
