This past weekend The Windy City was the place to be. Chicago was transformed as the 2020 NBA All-Star Weekend rolled into town. Chicago’s very own, Joe Freshgoods, linked up with Crown Royal, bringing something special to the city in the process. With all the buzz happening in the Windy City around one of basketball’s most significant moments, Joe Freshgoods dropped Crown Royal x Joe Freshgoods Present ROYAL APPLE GOODS. This new capsule collection includes a selection of apparel and accessories, boasting plenty of style in the process.
The range even includes a bottle bag reimagined as a sneaker bag curated by Freshgoods. The pieces were created to represent the crisp culture that is uniquely Chicago. In addition to the collection reveal, there was an event dubbed the Royal Pop Up. Here a variety of services on display from Freshgoods’ Chicago-based inner circle of creators and collaborators. This included barbering by Roger “Rodge” Williams, nail art by Tacarra Sutton and Slay Lewis, DJ sets by Vic Lloyd, Chuck English, and Evie, Fix Your Kicks sneaker cleaning and more.
Freshgoods spoke about the event and the goal. He stated: “I’ve always had a great love affair with Crown Royal, so this partnership felt like the thing to do. They’re re-defining royalty in a way that’s relevant to a new generation – to creators and people and from all walks of life – and I’m really excited to be a part of it.” This unique collection includes sneaker bags made from the iconic Crown Royal Regal Apple bag, apparel such as hoodies and t-shirts, and specialty accessories such as bandanas and tote bags. The ROYAL APPLE GOODS sneaker bags are made from the whiskey brand’s iconic bags that enclose each bottle of Crown Royal Regal Apple.
