The one and only Beyoncé is back. Yes, you are reading that correctly. The songstress is gearing up to drop off her seventh studio album; today, she serves up the project’s lead single. The track is called “Break My Soul.” The track is the first offering from Beyoncé since 2019’s The Lion King: The Gift soundtrack and 2018’s Everything Is Love collaborative album with Jay-Z. The new album will be her first formal release since 2016’s Lemonade.
The new project, entitled RENAISSANCE, was recently described in Vogue Magazine as having “dance and country-leaning tracks.” The lead single finds King Bey putting together something energetic and contagious, diving deep into the house vibes this time around. The track was produced by The-Dream and his longtime collaborator “Tricky” Stewart.
The track is driven by an infectious, energetic backdrop that gives the songstress a perfect home to showcase her vocal talents. She does so effortlessly and provides something that we will surely hear at every function this Summer.
