Christie’s recently announced the launch of two online-only auctions. Dubbed ‘VICE and VIRTUE,’ the auctions feature unique artworks from some of the biggest names in modern art. This outstanding collection of art is a great way to expand your collection while adding something quite iconic in the process. Find out more about the auctions below and place your bids asap!
The first installment, VICE, features artwork that reflects “hedonistic escapism.” This includes original pieces by KAWS, Barbara Kruger, Richard Prince, and many more.
The second series, VIRTUE, plays with the seven virtues: prudence, fortitude, temperance, justice, faith, hope, and love. This sale will include works by Andy Warhol, Jean Dubuffet, among others.
Some standouts from both auctions include KAWS’ KAWSBOB (Open Mouth) Package Painting Series from 2009. As well as, Barbara Kruger’s Untitled (Your taste in your mouth) silkscreen from 2009. However, we must mention Richard Prince’s Untitled (de Kooning) 2007 painting as well.
Check out a few of the select pieces in the images below and be sure head over to Christie’s website to find out more immediately. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more from the art department coming very soon.
