For comic fans, there is no one bigger or better than Jim Lee. He is currently the Co-Publisher and Chief Creative Officer of DC Comics and has been in the industry since 1987. Jim Lee recently partnered with HEX for a functional new backpack. HEX launches the new Collectors Backpack, and today, we take a deeper dive into the bag. Working with Jim Lee, Hex realized that artists need a better and more functional backpack solution. The Jim Lee Collectors backpack is the perfect design.
The backpack was designed with comic book collectors in mind. Not only stylish, but the backpack provides a way to transport comics safely. Inside the top of the backpack is a file folder with individual sleeves. This allows multiple bagged and boarded, or slab comics can be held securely. There is also a fleece-lined laptop sleeve, while an easy access pocket arrives as in the same size of the Overstreet Price Guide. There is even an expandable mesh pocket on each side to carry poster tubes. The Collectors backpack features the same custom Batman lining as the Artists Backpack.
There is also a Special Edition version of the Collectors Backpack that extends the Batman artwork to the external pocket. Trent Valladares, Co-Founder of Hex spoke about the bag. He stated: “These bags have been designed with incredible attention to detail.” He added, “Jim Lee has put an extraordinary amount of thought into the designs, so each bag is the best in its class without compromise.”
