Celebrating Icons! Spalding Reveals Kobe Bryant ‘Hall of Fame’ Basketball

The iconic hoops brand Spalding is back in the news feed. This time around, the label returns with a look at its new ‘Hall of Fame’ basketball. The new design is the third installment designed to honor the career of the late Kobe Bryant. The launch follows the “Silver” and “Kobe Marbled Snake” variations. This time around, Spalding puts together a fitting homage to the legendary hoops star.

'Hall of Fame' Basketball

Throughout his 20 years on the NBA hardwood, Kobe had five championships, 18 All-Star Game appearances, a duo of NBA Finals MVPs, one regular-season MVP, a Slam Dunk title, and many more. The specially-crafted basketball celebrates those moments with a regal two-toned approach. The ball is split between two halves; the front side is adorned with golden skins, Spalding branding, and Kobe’s picture just moments after beating the Boston Celtics in the 2010 NBA Finals.

On the reverse side, the ball features a black coating that is overlaid with a gilded snake graphic. Kobe’s name is layered across the top, while the Hall of Fame-inspired graphics alternate between the Naismith logo up above and “Class of 2020” below. Each basketball will arrive in a square translucent case. The limited-edition product will be limited to 2408 pieces worldwide.
