Color & Detail! Japanese Artist SNIPE1 Reveals ‘aILLEGAL’ Print

Japan native, SNIPE1 is back. The acclaimed Japanese graffiti artist has a career that spans nearly three decades. Known for his works highlighting manga, anima, Edo period, and Internet-age topics, he’s back with something new. Shadow Gallery described the artist in a statement that reads: “Whether on canvas or on the street, Snipe1’s unapologetic elevation of street culture and the underground graffiti scene pushes the boundaries of both graffiti and art.”

The artist recently revealed a special edition print entitled aILLEGAL, made in collaboration with Shdw Gallery. The print is set to release in a limited edition of 50, portraying a cartoonish subject with mouse ears with the words “Everything I Like Is Illegal.” The text is seen in the artist’s signature graffiti, while the print measures 16.5 by 22.8 inches. Each is printed on high-quality paper made predominantly with bamboo fiber and archival ink.

If you are looking to expand your collection of fantastic art, now is the time. Take a closer look at the aILLEGAL print edition above and head over to Shdw Gallery’s website to get yours right now. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more art news, art releases, and art exhibitions coming soon.
