Elevated & Enhanced | Vans Reveals The New Slip-On Exp Pro

Back in 1966, Vans first revealed their first slip-on silhouette. Since then, the sneaker has remained an icon, a legend of footwear, and these days, a staple of streetwear. Today Vans returns to elevate the iconic design with the brand-new Slip-On Exp Pro. The sneaker comes rocking an enhanced approach, offering upgraded functionality while acknowledging the classic style that’s made the OG Slip-On legendary. The Exp Pro is built to satisfy the needs of the modern-day skateboarder. The design is still low-slung and laceless, though rocking a few new features throughout.

The new design elements include a Velcro strap that reaches across the top of the foot for extra lockdown. The printed Jazz Stripe on both the lateral and medial sides is a nice touch. The iconic feature fades into the toe box and collar, which adds to the modern aesthetic. The sneaker then boasts a midsole that rises up onto the upper’s lower half for durability and protection. However, the interior of the Slip-On Exp Pro is the star of the show. The sneaker features Vans’ new WaffleControl technology, stripping back the midsole while providing a better feel. This means the wearer’s foot is separated from the board by fewer parts. The tread is intentionally deeper on the heel to soften impact, increasing grip, and durability.

The Vans Slip-On Exp Pro is set to release on Vans.com/skate and at select stockists this November in two colorways. They will arrive in black/white with primary color detailing, and a tonal cashmere style. Look for the new Slip-On to arrive soon.
