In the world of footwear, there are iconic brands and iconic silhouettes. Today we get a dose of nostalgia with a modern appeal as Vans returns with something new for the holiday season. The iconic imprint has partnered with Disney yet again with a second footwear delivery featuring images from the beloved Disney Tim Burton’s ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’. Just in time for the holidays, the special-edition Sk8-Hi follows the successful October delivery with design details dedicated to Jack’s discovery of Christmas Town.
The design revisits Jack Skellington’s trip to the Holiday Woods. It is here where he stumbles upon the Holiday Doors leading him to Christmas Town. The hi-top model showcases scenes from the iconic melody, “What’s This?” as Jack Skellington revels in the cheer of the North Pole.
The kicks are draped in red and black suede uppers detailed with white contrast stitching. The navy canvas quarter-panels depict Jack Skellington marveling at the Christmas lights on one side. The other features his moment with the snowman. The sneakers are then finished off with a printed Christmas Tree on the heel, gold metal eyelets, red and black check laces, and a red foxing stripe.
