Janelle Monáe – Stronger

It’s never a bad day when we get some new music from Janelle Monáe. The artist is back with something new for our listening pleasures, unleashing a contagious new effort entitled “Stronger.” The track is from the Netflix series We The People. The series, which was executive produced by Barack and Michelle Obama and their Higher Ground Productions company, looks to be a Schoolhouse Rock-like show for a new generation.

The show incorporates information about the government, as well as catchy tunes and new music. “Stronger” is one such song, a track that finds Janelle showing off her range and talents behind the mic. Janelle sings: “Most of my friends want a little peace Some of my friends want a little solace Even when we struggle, and we get kicked down We pick each other up with a little polish All of my friends want a legacy Don’t wanna be left out Every time you think we get a little weak We get a little bit stronger.” Don’t sleep on this one.

Check out the contagious new single in the stream and look for more new music from Janelle Monáe coming soon. While you’re at it, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more new music.
