It’s been five years since Jazmine Sullivan dropped off her album Reality Show. Since then, she has popped up with a few new singles and guest appearances, but she’s kept things relatively low-key. Today the songstress is back, returning with a brand new album for our listening enjoyment. Ms. Sullivan returns with ‘Heaux Tales.’ The new album finds the singer/songwriter again showing off her vocal prowess, putting together an incredible showcase of her talents in the process.
The new album includes singles such as ““Lost Ones,” “Pick Up Your Feelings,” and “Girl Like Me.” Throughout the album, Jazmine shows off her range and vocal talents, doing so while tackling some important issues along the way. The songstress also spoke about the project in a statement. It reads: “Heaux Tales is about my observation of today’s women standing in their power and owning who they are.”
The album comes loaded with fourteen new tracks, including the singles mentioned earlier. The rest of the album includes guest features from the likes of H.E.R., Ari Lennox, and Anderson .Paak. A few notable standouts we wouldn’t suggest sleeping on include “On It” with Ari Lennox, “Pricetags” featuring Anderson .Paak, and “The Other Side.” Ms. Sullivan puts together a solid effort, flawlessly showcasing her talents on the mic and with the pen.
