The beautiful and incredibly talented Jhené Aiko is back. Today the songstress returns with a brand new single, serving up her latest effort, “Lead The Way.” The track is the first single from the upcoming Disney animated film Raya and the Last Dragon. The film is slated to arrive on March 5th, and Ms. Aiko was tapped to create an original song for the movie. The track has a smooth and radio-friendly vibe, one that is highly contagious.
Jhené recently sat down to speak about the single and working on the soundtrack. She opened up to Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, stating: “You know, everything drew me into doing this, definitely a Disney kid.” She went on to add, “I’ve always had this little fantasy of being a Disney Princess, voicing one, or like being the character. And this was the closest that I’ve gotten, so I was pretty excited.”
The rack is the lead single from the film’s upcoming soundtrack and one we wouldn’t suggest sleeping on. Like many films, Raya and the Last Dragon will be found on streaming platforms on March 5th.
