We’re always on the hunt for up and coming stars, as well as well new music for our own personal listening. We were recently put on to the sounds of Joyce Wrice, an artist that you should probably get familiar with as well. After an impressive performance on Westside Gunn’s Pray for Paris project, Joyce Wrice has been making quite the name for herself. She’s not new to the music world, but she’s certainly getting some well-deserved notice as of late. Today the west coast representative is back, unleashing a smooth new single worth adding to your listening selections.
The new single is called “That’s On You,” a jazzy new effort that is nothing short of impressive. Joyce shows off her vocal talents, as well as her penmanship. The track was produced by Austin Brown, who put together a stunning backdrop for the singer/songwriter to excel upon. Driven by these silky melodies and some crisp drum sections, Joyce gets to showcase her vocal prowess effortlessly. She does so flawlessly, providing another example of her range, power, and appeal in the process. This young woman is certainly one worth watching, and “That’s On You” is just another example of her incredible abilities.
