If you haven’t gotten familiar with the sounds and talents of Lakeyah, now would be a great time to do so. The Milwaukee-born musician and Quality Control Music signee returns with her latest single, this one called “Mind Yo Business. The track finds Lakeyah pairing up with Latto for something infectious and impressive, to say the least. Lakeyah opened up about the new single recently, stating: “I got the chance to collab with one of my favorite new era rap girls!” She went on to add, “Both the song and the video are fire. I can’t wait for everyone to hear “Mind Yo Business.”
The track follows the artist’s recent signing to Motown Records. Lakeyah said, “I’m super excited and blessed to also be in business with Motown Records.” She further added, “They’ve always been supportive of my music, and now it’s just on another level!” The track is driven by a sample of the Iconz’ 2001 single, “Get Crunked Up,” and finds the two ladies showing off their respective talents flawlessly.
Lakeyah has been making quite the name for herself, and this one should certainly help her case.
