2020 has been a rough year for everyone, but don’t worry, Lil Duval is here to spread some cheer. Today the comedian returns with a brand new single for our listening enjoyment, serving up a remake of Bobby McFerrin’s classic song, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy.” The track finds Lil Duval pairing up with the one and only, T.I. as the two aim to raise people’s spirits during these unprecedented times.
The track is set to that unmistakable rhythm as the two take turns letting us know about all the things we still have to be happy about. They also give us a few unique facts throughout. Lil Duval takes to the track and interpolates the song’s hook, singing: “Here’s a song Bobby McFerrin wrote, you might want to sing it note for note. Don’t worry, be happy. It’s 2020, and we having trouble, but when you sit and worry, you make it double. Don’t worry, be happy.”
Before the official release, Lil Duval took to Instagram and stated: “Video drop at noon, but y’all can go download the song now and listen to it in the morning,” adding “Cuz I know right now y’all listening to @21savage. Link in my bio #dontworrybehappy.” The track comes to life with a fitting video as well, one which is sure to lift your spirits and supply some smooth vibes.
