How about some new Missy Elliott in your life? That’s what we get today as she makes her return with a brand new music video. It’s been a busy Summer for Missy, dropping off a new project and getting honor with MTV’s Video Vanguard Award. Now she serves up another eye-catching, incredible, and interesting video for our viewing enjoyment. She cooks up something infectious for her track “DripDemeanor.”
The single finds Missy pairing up with Sum1, while both showcase their respective talents. Missy is seen rocking a number of looks throughout the clip. We see her with a high rise of braids, a blue ponytail, and more. Sum1 shows up in her biker girl outfit and dances alongside Missy in their neon-lit jumpsuits. The video was directed by Missy and Derek Blanks and pays homage to the HBCUs as members of fraternities stomp the yard.
The video even includes an appearance from Teyana Taylor, who is seen critiquing DripDemeanor’s legacy to a young b-girl. The clip is fun, fitting, and funky; it’s everything we’ve come to expect from Missy Elliott.
