It’s been a minute since we last heard from Ne-Yo. The singer/songwriter makes his return today, doing so with a brand new single for our listening enjoyment. This time around, Ne-Yo makes his comeback with a slick new single entitled “Pinky Ring.” The track follows a bit of a break from Ne-Yo, who was recently a guest on the “Private Talk With Alexis Texas” podcast. The singer spoke openly about his separation-slash-divorce from his wife.
Ne-Yo stated: “It’s not a sad thing, it’s more of us realizing–long story short, I’m never gonna talk bad about her.” He added, “’m not that person. There’s nothing bad to say about her. She’s a fantastic woman. She’s the mother of my children, and she’s always gonna be that, and I will always respect her.” After the conversation, Ne-Yo served up his new single, linking up with the west coast native, O.T. Genasis. The track finds the duo sharing this energetic yet smooth instrumental, each one serving up a dose of their respective talents. Ne-Yo holds things down on the crooning side of the track. O.T. Genasis, on the other hand, shows off his lyrical prowess.
