In case you couldn’t tell, we love music around these parts. Each one of us has our own distinct love of music, and styles of music, and that applies to you too. Every Friday, we compile our favorite new tracks of the week, alongside excellent listening material from the previous weeks of releases. However, out of all of those new tracks, we are often drawn to a few.
A handful of tracks that we can’t seem to get past. Each week we serve up five new tracks that we feel you should hear. These are generally from artists you may not be familiar with, or that we may not be familiar with. However, we always aim to deliver exceptional, unique, and contagious new tracks for your listening enjoyment.
This week we’ve got five incredible tracks that include singles from DUCKWRTH, EarthGang, SiR, Ruel, and Remi Wolf. Some of those names you may be acquainted with, while others, most likely not. Though you will be after today.

“Crush” by DUCKWRTH
For anyone who isn’t a fan of DUCKWRTH, this one should sway you. “Crush” is one of the smoothest tracks we’ve heard all Summer and one we can’t seem to get enough of. The track has an infectious instrumental that reminds us of that old Neptunes sound, while DUCKWRTH shows off his effortless appeal behind the mic. We’ve been a fan of DUCKWRTH’s for a while now, and this is just another example of why. Press play!
“Up” by EarthGang
EarthGang is gearing up to drop off a new album, and “Up” is the latest single from the ATL duo. The track is everything we love about EarthGang wrapped up in one. It’s a bit chaotic, infectious, and energetic, while the fellas showcase their lyrical prowess and depth. By far the most intriguing track on the list, “Up” is different and dope. It’s one of those tracks that may take some time to appreciate, but it’s one worth taking the time to appreciate. Be aware, MirrorLand arrives soon!
“Mood” by SiR & Zacari
The TDE-affiliate always delivers smooth, soulful sounds, and “Mood” is his latest. SiR links up with the TDE signee Zacari on the single, connecting on what could be the most impressive single from SiR’s new album. The track has contagious vibes and laid back melodies, a perfect place for SiR and Zacari to excel. Both deliver shining examples of their respective talents, providing us with one hell of a performance in the process. Don’t sleep on this one!
“Real Thing” by Ruel
Not familiar with Ruel? Well, let this be your formal introduction. “Real Thing” has a smoothed out, mellow vibe that brings back a classic R & B sound. Ruel shows off his range effortlessly, getting quite a home to showcase his talents along the way. The track has a relatable vibe while Ruel gives a solid performance over top of the silky smooth production. “Real Thing” has us looking for more from Ruel and it’s the kind of track you will have on repeat upon first listen. “Rufufus” by Remi Wolf
This song is a perfect representation of the weekend. Smooth, laid back, fun, energetic and refreshing, “Rufufus” is something special. The track is pushed by this unique, distorted backdrop of funky guitar riffs and cool, laid back drum work. Remi Wolf takes to the beat and unleashes a fresh vocal performance, showing off her style and range flawlessly. If this one doesn’t do something to your soul; we can’t be friends.
