The good folks over at Toyota have always been known as leaders in the world of overlanding. Known for crafting durable vehicles that can withstand any terrain, the iconic automaker is taking things a step further. Today we get a look at the Toyota TRD-Sport Trailer. This eye-catching concept trailer was inspired by custom overland Toyota Tacoma’s, offering everything you could ever need for an outdoor adventure.
The Toyota TRD-Sport Trailer features a scissor-lift that raises a platform out of the bed. The design also boasts a Yakima four-person tent with an awning and fly fishing-pole holders. Elsewhere the concept includes a custom-built toilet and trash can, a refrigerator, hot water heater, shower, generator, slide-out sink, and stove. There is even a 16-gallon freshwater tank for good measure.
The trailer even features LED lights up high, and Yakima SunBelt light strips down low, with an Optima Yellow Top battery for power. To finish things off, the design includes gear such as fishing nets, tackle and poles, waders and wading boots, along with cookware and dishes which come in partnership with Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s. Toyota is looking to take overlanding to a whole new level with this.
