It’s never a bad day when we get some new tunes from Pink $weats. Today the artist returns, getting in the holiday spirit with a brand new single. The track is called “This Christmas,” which finds Pink $weats pairing up with Donny Hathaway. A number of artists are gearing up to drop off Christmas releases over the next few weeks. Pink $weats is one such artist. As he puts the finishing touches on his upcoming album, Pink Planet, he’s back with a new flip on a classic track.
“This Christmas” is an icon, and Pink delivers something quite impressive, to say the least. The track has a classic approach though a modern vibe can be felt throughout. Pink $weats does his thing and does it well, offering a dose of his uncanny delivery and smooth vocal prowess. The track also keeps a verse from the track’s original artist, Donny Hathaway, who certainly fits flawlessly. “This Christmas” is driven by a silky smooth melodic side, which is seamlessly paired with some slick drum work. The combination provides the artists with a nice home to excel, and they certainly don’t fall short.
