Rico Nasty – ‘Nightmare Vacation’

You might not be entirely familiar with the sounds and talents of Rico Nasty yet. But you should certainly have her on your radar. Today the DMV representative is back, unleashing her major-label debut album for our listening enjoyment. The project is titled  ‘Nightmare Vacation,’ and Rico delivers a dose of her uncanny and unadulterated talents. The album includes sixteen new tracks, led by the singles “Don’t Like Me,” “Own It,” “iPhone,” and “Lightning.” Rico shows off her unique and undeniable abilities behind the mic, putting together a solid opus for our listening pleasures.

The artist recently opened up about the album and the inspiration behind her new material. Rico stated: “I feel like this album proved to me that no matter what I’m going through, I can still make powerful music.” Ms. Nasty went on to add, “All of these songs that I ever made were always about power, always about making you feel powerful. Sometimes you give so much power you feel powerless… I just tried to put all the emotions, and the happiness and the crazy feelings y’all make me feel in this music and give it right back to you to consume and get your power-up. So this is a soundtrack to getting back on your sh*t!”

Along the way, she links up with an impressive array of guests. Rico is joined by the likes of Don Toliver, Gucci Mane, Aminé, Trippie Redd, Sukihana, Rubi Rose, and more. Some of our favorites include “Candy,” “Don’t Like Me,” with Gucci and Don Toliver, and “STFU.” Other notable tracks include “Girl Scouts,” “OHFR?,” and “Own It.”

Do yourself a favor and check out the brand new album, ‘Nightmare Vacation’ in the stream below. While you’re at it, be sure to keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more new music coming very soon.
