Roy Woods – ‘Dem Times’ EP

While it’s been a busy year for the OVO Sound squad, it’s been almost two and a half years since we got a new project from Roy Woods. That all changes today! After serving up a handful of singles throughout his hiatus of sorts, Roy is back with a new EP for our listening enjoyment. The Toronto representative serves up a solid new effort entitled ‘Dem Times.’ He recently opened up about the project and its inspiration.

Mr. Woods stated: “We’re in a place and space that a lot of us have never experienced before. That’s what made me want to release my EP.” He went on to say, “It’s also why I chose the name. If you’re from Toronto, then you know exactly what I am referring to. Life is short and can change in a blink of an eye. Appreciate life and all dem times at all times.”

The EP was recorded between Los Angeles and Toronto and is led by “I Feel It.” Roy puts together another impressive showcase of his talents. Some of our favorites include “Neva Your Way,” “What We Did,” and “2 Me.”

Don’t sleep on this one. Check out ‘Dem Times’ in the stream below and look for more new music coming very soon. In the meantime, be sure to check out the latest installment of our weekly playlist, ‘A Curation of Sound.’
