The legendary, iconic and timeless, RZA returns. The producer, wordsmith, and more makes his way back to the interwebs with a brand new single entitled “Saturday Afternoon Kung Fu Theater.” The track arrives with news that RZA will drop off a brand new album on August 6th. The project, RZA vs. Bobby Digital, will also include the single “Pugilism,” which dropped back in April.
As for this single, RZA gets down over the top of great production from DJ Scratch while showing off his lyrical prowess. “Saturday Afternoon Kung Fu Theater” has an undeniable vibe with an old-school appeal, while RZA floats effortlessly on top of the instrumental. RZA stated: “Looking for something new to vibe to? Well, you’re in luck!” He went on to say, “Hope you’re ready, cause we’re bringing back that gritty, mean-mugging hip hop.”
The wordsmith raps: “I could take a raindrop turn it to an Icicle Pull off in that blue Escalade, You still rockin’ tricycles Michael Myers mask on my face, copper filtered in N-95 edition boy, I’m a virus killer.”
