After serving up an Easter-inspired collaboration with Bad Bunny, Adidas is back at it yet again. This time around, they have aligned with South Park to create something especially for the upcoming 4/20 holiday. Together the two have created a revamped iteration of the Campus 80 silhouette, inspired by none other than Towelie. The character was notorious for obtaining special powers from smoking, which makes it a perfect collaboration.
The sneaker’s upper has been retooled with terry cloth, dyed “Chalk Purple,” and accented with white leather stripes and heel overlays. The look was inspired by the genetically engineered towel, while the character’s eyes are seen on the tongue. For added appeal, his eyes turn bloodshot when exposed to UV lighting. The insides of the sneakers feature notations that read “Don’t forget to bring a towel” on the left side and “I have no idea what’s going on” on the right. Just below the text are hidden stash pockets, which come packaged with Towelie key chains.
