The U.K.’s very own slowthai is back in the news feed. Sadly he’s not dropping any new music at the moment, but he’s back with a way for his fans to stay safe. The English rapper returns with a new face mask, which was recently added to his catalog of merchandise. The face-covering features the bottom half of the MC’s face while showcasing his eerie half-laughing expression.
The design is a homage to the artwork of Aphex Twin‘s Richard D. James Album. The mask also features a quilted lining for comfort, while elastic straps and toggles allow for a custom fit. The full image was taken for a signed postcard the wordsmith sent to announce his upcoming album TYRON. The project is set to arrive in February 2021.
The artist wrote on Instagram, “last week, i spent 2 days signing and sending out a few thousand surprise postcards at random to you lot.” The caption went on say, “i couldn’t send one to everyone, but i hope you know you’re forever appreciated… album 2 is done. love to you all.”
