The Roots – Feel It (You Got It)

It’s never a bad day when we get some new music from The Roots. Today the collective is back with a brand new single, unleashing a slick new effort entitled “Feel It (You Got It).” The track arrives after a few years without dropping any new tracks, but the crew certainly hasn’t lost their touch. They’ve been holding it down on Jimmy Fallon’s late-night show, and they’ve also been hard at work on an official follow-up to their 2014 album.

The Roots also recently commemorate the 20th anniversary of their breakout album, Things Fall Apart, while Questlove is hard at work on a Black Woodstock documentary. Today the come together and serve up something new, unleashing something infectious and incredible, to say the least. The track is driven by this addictive instrumental full of slick melodic elements and energetic drum work. The backdrop makes a perfect home for fellas to do their thing, and they certainly don’t fall short in the process. The track also includes Tish Hyman, who adds a nice touch.

Take a few minutes from your busy day and check out this impressive new single, “Feel It (You Got It)” in the stream below. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more new music coming very soon.
