The OG Returns | The ASICS OG GEL-Lyte III “Citrus” Returns

With the 30th anniversary of the GEL-Lyte III around the corner, ASICS is gearing up. The iconic sportswear imprint is preparing to kick things off by bringing back a true icon. Back in 1989, the company originally released the GEL-Lyte III “Citrus.” This eye-catching design set off a passion for the brand, adding some color to the world of footwear like none other. The GEL-Lyte III has grown into a street style favorite, as well as being the focus for several collaborations.

The “Citrus” GEL-Lyte III features a classic approach thanks to a crisp white upper. The sneakers are accented in a lemon-lime mixture of dark forest green and high-vis neon yellow. We see the dark forest green on the heel and toe box overlays, while the bold yellow is seen on the collar, signature split tongue, and laces. There is also a touch of dark texture seen on the netted black plastic mesh on both the lateral and medial quarter panels. The midsole encases ASICS’ signature GEL cushioning while mixing white, grey, and green tones as well. The sneakers are finished off with a black and yellow outsole, completing the look flawlessly.

Take a closer look at these iconic sneakers in the images below and look for the ASICS GEL-Lyte III OG “Citrus” to arrive soon. They are set to release at retailers like AFEW come November 15. Keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more new footwear coming soon.
