North London native, Ama Lou has been getting a lot of attention thanks to her incredible vocal talents. After getting our attention with her track “Northside,” Ama Lou is back. This time around, she invades the interwebs with her major-label debut, an infectious new album entitled ‘Ama, Who?’ The new EP serves as a formal introduction for the artist, who brings her a-game and provides something quite contagious. Ama Lou has certainly been making a name for herself, showing off her range and old school appeal. The new EP comes locked with five new tracks, including the aforementioned “Northside.”
The rest of the EP is loaded with contagious new material, a smooth dose of music that is as refreshing as it is contagious. The EP includes an array of material, though Ama recently opened up about the project. She opened up and explained its title. She stated: “Yo, have you heard about this girl Ama Lou? I just heard her music today and,” while getting interrupted by someone else saying, “Ama, who?” She also spoke about the EP’s content, adding, “This project is all-encompassing and totally Ama, I know that’s a bit of a vague description, but the detail lies in the vagueness. Every song is different but all very me. I kind of a start to look into the foundation of my work, who I am, and what I can do. It’s just another step forward.”
The EP is nothing short of remarkable and one you should certainly add to your listening rotation.
