The west coast native known as G-Eazy made his return this past Friday. The wordsmith is back with a brand new project, ‘These Things Happen Too,’ which marks his first full-length record since 2017’s The Beautiful & Damned. The album is also a sequel to his 2014 debut LP, These Things Happen. Eazy shows off his lyrical prowess and smooth delivery yet again, as well as his growth as an artist.
Along the way, the Bay Area representative is joined by the likes of Lil Wayne, Demi Lovato, Ty Dolla $ign, and Anthony Hamilton. The 19-track effort even features fellow Bay Area legend and future NFL Hall of Famer Marshawn Lynch, who narrates the trailer for the album. Gerald comes through with something solid, offering up outstanding singles like “Instructions” with YG, “When You’re Gone” featuring Lil Wayne and The Soul Rebels, and “Origami.” Elsewhere Eazy shines on tracks like “Wanna Be Myself,” “Speed,” and “Faithful” featuring Marc E. Bassy.
