Added to the List! The World’s First Luxury Space Hotel Opens In 2027

Ever wanted to take a vacation in space? Well, that opportunity could become a reality very shortly. Global travels can add a new destination to the list as the world’s first luxury space hotel is expected to open in 2027. Dubbed the Voyager Station, the group behind the venture, Orbital Assembly Corporation, recently made big headlines. The company announced plans to begin building the hotel in low Earth orbit in 2025.

If all goes according to the plan, the resort project has the potential to be operational as soon as 2027. Renderings of the hotel have been released, revealing a futuristic design with several interesting details. The hotel will feature individual pods that are attached to a rotating design. Guests will enjoy a cinema, a health spa, gyms, themed restaurants, libraries, and concert venues. The hotel is expected to be in low Earth orbit, which means Earth-viewing lounges and bars and rooms will be the star of the show.

The structure will be able to accommodate up to 400 people. Of course, the essentials such as crew quarters, water, air, and power systems will also take up a portion of the hotel. The company intends on selling portions of the hotel to permanent stakeholders. This could include government agencies that could use the space for training centers. The Voyager Station will reportedly circle the globe every 90 minutes.

Take a closer look at the Voyager Station in the images and the short video below. While you’re at it, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more travel news coming soon.
