An In-Depth Look | J Balvin Stars In Dolby Atmos Music Campaign

The good folks over at Dolby is back unveiling the second commercial of its first Dolby Atmos Music campaign. They have revealed the latest installment featuring LATIN GRAMMY award-winning and global chart-topping Colombian reggaeton artist J Balvin. The campaign comes based on the insight that people want to feel a deeper connection with their favorite artists through music.

Todd Pendleton, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, at Dolby, spoke about pairing with J Balvin. He said, “We continue our Dolby Atmos Music journey with J Balvin exploring how colors and culture define his iconic musical style.” “We share J’s mission to bring his music to the world for everyone to feel.” The new film takes a closer look at J Balvin’s creative process and his first experience with Dolby Atmos Music.

The piece spotlights his recently released single Blanco. He speaks about his perspective of music as a color palette, the impact of growing up in Colombia, and moving to New York to chase his dreams. The artist also opens up about those who influenced define his distinct sound. J Balvin stated: “I see music as colors. With this new album that we’re making, we really want people to feel the colors.” He added, “Dolby Atmos lets you feel the layers of music; you can feel the layers of the gradients in the colors. I’ve never heard music like this. I love it.”
