Initially a basketball shoe, the Superstar celebrated its 50th-anniversary last year. The iconic shoe first arrived back in 1969, and today the sneaker is back yet again. In homage of its 50th year, the silhouette retains its traditional lower top with all leather upper. The famous triple stripes are still seen on each side of the sneaker, with the full Adidas logo located on the heel. However, in a subtle change, the Superstar will be in ‘bold’ in women’s for the first time in history.
The sneaker imprint goes back to the basics with its newest colorways, offering two unique designs in the process. One has a cloud white base with the classic three adidas stripes in core black, along with the heel, while the tongue has a gold finish.
