Just ahead of the big game this past weekend, BACARDÍ linked up with DJ, songwriter and record producer Diplo. They came together to bring the Sound of Rum to football fans in downtown Bloomington, Indiana this weekend. BACARDÍ threw an incredible pre-game experience for the biggest game of the season, the Hoosiers vs. Buckeyes. Guests were invited to a sold-out game day performance from the EDM superstar and quite a party in the process. The event took over Bloomington, Indiana’s most popular sports bar – Kilroy Sports.
The bar was transformed into a Caribbean-inspired fiesta. Over 1,000 fans lined the block in the early morning hours, before filling the venue with energy. Upon arrival, partygoers were greeted with game-day giveaways such as t-shirts and fanny packs filled with football-inspired “eye black” tattoos and recipe cards. Inside consumers sipped on refreshing rum cocktails such as the Jungle Juice, made with the newest flavor innovation – BACARDÍ Lime, and Lit Lime – made with Superior, Lime, and BACARDÍ Limón.
Diplo put together a Sound of Rum-inspired set, providing the soundtrack for the waving Rum flags in the crowd. The bartender’s also offered consumers two special “Rum, 2, 3” cocktails – the Red Zone and the Darty Szn, showcasing just how easy it is to make a delicious BACARDÍ cocktail with three ingredients. We’ll be getting into those recipes a little later.
