Back like they left something, Nike returns with a whole new slate of designs for Día De Muertos. Nike and the Jordan Brand have revealed their new 2021 Día De Muertos collection, offering some unique new colorways of some classic silhouettes. The collection also features a full slate of apparel to match. This year’s lineup includes new colorways of the Air Force 1 Low and Air Jordan 1 Mid and matching apparel that was inspired by the concept of Siempre Familia.
The footwear collection includes elements of Mictlán, which is the journey of nine levels that celebrates the infinite power of family connection. The Air Force 1 Low is host to intricately embroidered Swooshes while bright orange overlays boast embossed patterns. The insoles include a luxe purple velvet material. The Air Jordan 1 Mids come with jaguar-inspired prints, a Swoosh logo that mimics an arrow, and tongues that are adorned with Siempre Familia branding.
In terms of apparel, Nike has created a stunning two-toned bomber jacket that features Mictlán illustrations on the front. Elsewhere we see graphic tees that are host to elements such as skulls and bones, the Xolo dog, and imagery of jaguars and iguanas.
