The first female rapper signed to TDE, Doechii, is back again. She’s been quite busy since the ink dried on her contract. Today she is back with a brand new single for our listening enjoyment. The new track is called “Crazy.” The track serves as her second single since signing with Top Dawg, following “Persuasive.” This time around, she serves up something a bit different.
Doechii recently spoke about the track and the inspiration behind it. She stated: “‘Crazy’ is about un-contained power, creativity, and confidence. People call you crazy when they fear you or they don’t understand you.” She went on to add, “So when I use ‘Crazy’ in the song, I’m reflecting that energy back on them to show them themselves.”
The track is another example of Doechii’s sound and talent, coming to life in a fitting set of visuals as well. The video is age-restricted but certainly worth your time and attention. If you haven’t gotten familiar with Doechii, now would be a great time to do so.
