Evolving Footwear | Foot Locker’s “Evolution of the Swoosh” Collection

Foot Locker is known for keeping the world laced in some of the finest footwear and apparel in the game. Today they are back, announcing its exclusive “Evolution of the Swoosh” footwear and apparel collection. The capsule aims to celebrate the history of Nike’s famed logo. Nike and Foot Locker have unveiled the “Swoosh Chain” pack. This eye-catching new pack honors one of the earliest interpretations of the logo and is available in grade school sizes at Kids Foot Locker.

The “Swoosh Chain” pack features the Nike Air Max 97, Nike Air Max Plus and Air Force 1 Low. Saluting the history of Nike’s distinguished logo, the first release honors the “Script Swoosh” design. The silhouette will be available exclusively through the Foot Locker family of brands on August 10th. The silhouette will be followed by the “Swoosh Chain” and “Sunburst” packs on August 17th and August 28th, respectively. Foot Locker and Nike have been at the forefront of the growth of sneaker culture.

We Live Sneakers!

The “We Live Sneakers” campaign is a visual culmination of all the meaningful moments of a sneakerhead. The spot features a roster of diverse talent. Included are talents such as D’Angelo Russell, Anuel AA, and musicians Da Baby and Justine Skye. Patrick Walsh, VP of Marketing for North America, spoke about the collection. He stated: “The ‘Evolution of the Swoosh’ collection encompasses the storied legacy of Nike and the role the famed logo has played in the lives of those in the sneaker community.” He continued by saying, “For the big milestones, everyday routines and everything in between, the Swoosh has – and always will – be part of our journey. Our community is united Because Sneakers” The “Script Swoosh” commemorates Carolyn Davidson’s original 1971 hand-drawn design. While The “Sunburst” pinwheel was developed in 1972 as an asymmetric translation for apparel and the “Swoosh Chain.”
