IDK – 24

The one and only, IDK is back. The wordsmith invades the interwebs with a brand new single for our listening pleasures, and as expected, he delivers something worth rocking. IDK is working on a follow-up to IWASVERYBAD, and today, he delivers a pounding new single called “24.” The wordsmith goes in over top of a menacing, hard-hitting instrumental, pushed by these rattling drum sections and some punchy melodies that fit together flawlessly.

IDK takes to the beat and gives us another showcase of his lyrical prowess, cooking up something special along the way. The wordsmith sat down to speak with Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s Beats 1, debuting the track as Zane Lowe’s World Record. The wordsmith opened up with Zane about the single stating: “You know, I speak on what they like to call, the root of all evil, you know, money. I’m bragging about what they call the root of evil, you feel what I’m saying? That’s the easiest way to put it without saying too much, because one of the things I want to do is, I want to let people listen to it and get what they get from it.” He added, “For the most part you feel me? But I’m trying to also let people know like, look man, because you know me, I’m not like a big flash, my money type of dude. You know, I’m not the type of dude that talks shit about money all the time and things like that, but in this song, you know, that’s what I wanted to do to prove that particular point. And if when you listen to it, you’ll interpret what the point is.”

He also opened up about the video for the single saying “Oh, man, this video right here, I want to keep this short and simple. That’s the best way to put it. Sweet and simple. I didn’t actually fully direct this, Jack Burger, he’s the one who put this together as far as directing. I conceptualized it with him, and I think this shit one of my more fun videos. You see a different personality when you watch this shit. You feel me?”
