The one and only, Kanye West is back. After weeks of performances, controversy, beef, and more, Mr. West finally returned this weekend with his highly-anticipated new project, DONDA. The album, named after his later mother, is Kanye’s tenth studio album. The project was pushed by a unique rollout that included a pair of stadium shows in Atlanta and one in Chicago. The album features twenty-six tracks in total, including features from a bevy of artists.
Along the way, Kanye is joined by the likes of Syleena Johnson, Playboi Carti, Five Foreign, The Weeknd, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, and Baby Keem. Elsewhere he aligns with Travis Scott, Vory, Young Thug, Lil Yachty, Don Toliver, Kid Cudi, Ariana Grande, Conway the Machine, Westside Gunn, The Lox, Jay Electronica, Swizz Beatz, Chris Brown, Pop Smoke, Roddy Ricch, Shenseea, Ty Dolla $ign, and his Sunday Service choir.
The project is different, to say the least, and certainly not what we expected. However, it’s worth a listen, especially standouts like “Jail,” “Junya,” “Jail Pt. 2,” and “Junya Pt. 2.” Check out the full project in the stream below and let us know what you think about it.
