Functional Design! Daniel Arsham Reveals Objects for Living: Collection II

The one and only, Daniel Arsham, is back in the news feed. This time around, he returns to reveal his new collection of furniture. Dubbed Objects for Living: Collection II, the lineup will be on display at the Friedman Benda art gallery in New York City. The showcase also serves as his first solo exhibition at the gallery. The series builds upon his previous Objects for Living show, which debuted at Design Miami in 2019.

The second installation was inspired by the time Arsham spent at home during the coronavirus pandemic. The artist implements objects he would want to live with, serving as a personal account of his experiences. Collection II expands the recreation of his Long Island home with chairs, sofas, beds, lamps, dining tables, benches, and mirrors.

Take a closer look at the new collection in the images below and look for more from Daniel Arsham on the horizon. He was just named the Creative Director for the Cleveland Cavaliers. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more art releases, exhibitions, and art news coming soon.
