It’s been a minute since we last heard from Lorde. This past Friday that all changed. The songstress made her return with a brand new album entitled Solar Power. In fact, the last time we got any new music from Lorde was her second album, 2017’s Melodrama. Since then, she’s been living her best life, finding out more regarding the climate crisis, traveling to Antarctica, and more.
Now she returns with something infectious, unique, and rather scaled back. The project was produced with Jack Antonoff, offering something laid back, interesting, and compelling. The project is different as Lorde gives us a collection of love songs, dreams, and contagious vocal harmonies. The project features twelve new tracks and comes in at just under forty-five minutes long. Lorde delivers some impressive new material, including standouts like “Solar Power,” “Stoned At The Nail Salon,” “Dominoes,” and “Mood Ring.”
