Logic – Intro

After announcing his “retirement” from hip-hop, Logic is making a comeback. The wordsmith announced he’d be leaving the game behind last year, only to make a comeback in 2021. Today Logic returns to the interwebs with a brand new single called “Intro.” The track arrives after a handful of collaborative tracks with producer Madlib.

As MadGic, the duo has dropped “Mafia Music,” “Raddest Dad,” and “Mars Only Pt. 3.” today, Logic returns with something of his own, unleashing a track entitled “Intro.” The track arrived shortly after the wordsmith released a statement via Instagram. The statement simply read, “I’m Back,” which was immediately followed by this new track. No word on where the track might end up, but it could be the opening track from the rapper’s forthcoming seventh album.

The lyricist shows off his uncanny and unadulterated talent, ripping through an infectious instrumental in the process. Logic effortlessly does his thing and gives us another reason to pay attention. This man never lets us down, and he certainly doesn’t start on this one.

He raps: “I got rent, I got bills, but I want a record deal Don’t wanna give up on my dreams ’cause I know I got skills People sayin’ I won’t make it, sometimes that’s how it feels Dreams and ambitions of makin’ millions from record deals.” Elsewhere he goes on to say, “I got nothin’ to my namе, not even no GED But I don’t wanna be somе has-been, lookin’ back at forty-three Wonderin’ who he could be if he had the guts to take the leap That’s why I’m here to take the beat And not repeat the cycle of people who never lived their dreams.”
