Sure, Logic may have “retired” from the rap game, but that doesn’t mean he’s done working. The wordsmith made his return this past Friday, linking up with Madlib, going together as MadGic. The duo made their formal introduction recently with a new track entitled “Mars Only Pt. 3.” This past Friday, MadGic made their return with another new one, this one titled “Mafia Music.”
The new track finds the duo showcasing their respective talents, putting together a solid example of their respective talents. Madlib holds down the production side of things while Logic shows off his lyrical prowess once again. The track is driven by these incredibly contagious drum sections, which are seamlessly paired with some crisp, clean melodic elements.
The combination is addictively smooth and provides Logic with an incredible home to excel. No word on where this track will end up, but we certainly hope to hear much more from these two in the future.
