After announcing his retirement back in 2020, Logic has made his official comeback. Though he never really strayed too far from the music game, he technically didn’t release anything of his own since his announcement. However, that changed recently as the lyricist unleashed a new project entitled ‘The YS Collection Vol. 1.’ The new opus arrives on the heels of his collaborative material with Madlib and formally announcing his return to rap.
‘The YS Collection Vol. 1’ comes loaded up with fourteen tracks, and it’s not entirely a new collection of material. The LP includes highlights from the MC’s Young Sinatra mixtape series, though he’s included some incredible gems throughout. Logic spoke about the project and stated: “It’s taken us years, but we finally cleared songs from over ten years ago for the fans to enjoy! Many of you for the first time.”
The collection includes tracks like “The Come Up,” “Relaxation,” “Man of The Year,” and “Just Another Day.” Other notable selections include “One” featuring Frank Sinatra, “Walk On By,” “Inception,” and “5 A.M.” While it’s not an official LP with all new material, it’s certainly something worth adding to your listening routine.
