The beautiful and incredibly talented Mélat returns. Today the songstress is back with a new single, unleashing her first offering of 2021. The new track was written years ago and is self-produced. “The Lesson” is something that she says she has been holding on to for “far too long.”
Mélat shows off her uncanny and undeniable talents, doing so over top of a highly contagious backdrop that will instantly catch your attention. The artist recently spoke about the track and stated: “excited doesn’t even begin to cover it y’all!” She went on to say, “Thanks to months of solitude, I was able to take a song that as just a little tune I played on the piano when someone would ask if I could play the piano and sing, and turn it into this.”
Over top of a silky smooth instrument, she sings: “I don’t even know why I wanna stay When there’s a million reasons to walk away.” Later she says, “‘Cause it’s that deep-seated Gettin’ heated Bother me in the night time Won’t let me live my life right.”
