It’s been a minute since we got some new material from MØ. That all changes today! MØ returns today, nearly one year after her latest studio album, and she brings a brand new single for our listening pleasures. This time around, the songstress links up with Major Lazer’s own, Walshy Fire, for a brand new single. The track is the first from the duo’s impending project, Walshy Fire Presents: MMMMØ – The Mix. To kick things off, MØ has released a new single, covering the Smashing Pumpkins’ 1995 hit-single “Bullet With Butterfly Wings.”
The artist took to Instagram to announce the project, stating: “Stoked to announce Walshy Fire Presents: MMMMØ – The Mix … I’m really excited for you guys to hear it!” She went on to add, “A mix of some of my old favorites, new favorites, some B sides and a recent cover I did of one of my favorite songs in the world! The Mix is done by my long-time friend Walshy Fire- THANK U, for spending time diving into all of my songs and creating this!”

The track finds the artist showing off her vocal prowess while paying homage to one of the best bands of all time. Walshy Fire also spoke about the impending project. He stated: “You guys know I haven’t done a mixtape in a long time. As much as I love making them, so many new things have been happening in my life that I haven’t had the time.” Walshy went on to add, “But when @momomoyouth sent me a folder of songs, time stopped. I was completely wrapped up in the music. So I am extremely excited and proud to announce… Walshy Fire Presents: MMMMØ – The Mix.”
